Fighting games and e-sports will be celebrated at Evo Japan 2024.
At Evo Japan 2024, which takes place this weekend (April 27–29), thousands of fighting game fans and competitors will meet in Tokyo, Japan. This is one of the most prestigious and anticipated events in the FGC (Fighting Game Community) calendar. With a full schedule of events for both old and new fighting games, Evo Japan looks like it will be a thrilling show of the best fighting game talent and hype.
A Field of Champions
The tournaments are without a question the best part of Evo Japan. In seven different games, players will compete to be named champion. Street Fighter 6, Capcom's latest game in the famous series, is currently in first place. Bandai Namco's Tekken 8 will also be shown off in competition for the first time at Evo Japan. Not able to go in person? Evo Japan will be streamed live on Twitch and YouTube, with comments in both Japanese and English. Fans from all over the world can watch the whole thing, from the exciting final rounds to the parties after the pop-off. People are very interested in and excited about the FGC, so social media will be full of responses, memes, and highlights from the event.
